Who we are

CompleteTech LLC operates complete.tech and related CompleteTech subdomains, including cert.complete.tech. This policy explains what information we collect through the website and related CompleteTech web services, how we use it, the third-party services involved in operating and measuring the site, and the choices available to visitors.

Information we collect directly

If you contact us, leave a comment, create an account, request support, or otherwise submit information through the site, we collect the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, website, message content, account information, and any other information included in your submission.

When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After comment approval, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Certificate and class completion records

If you complete a CompleteTech class, workshop, training session, or certificate-eligible event, we may collect and store information needed to issue and verify your certificate. This may include your name, email address, class identifier, session identifier, completion status, issue date, certificate ID, and related operational metadata.

Public certificate verification pages may display your name, certificate ID, certificate status, class title, session date, and issue date. We do not display your email address on public certificate verification pages.

We use certificate and class completion information to issue certificates, prevent duplicate or fraudulent completions, maintain attendance and completion records, and allow third parties to verify that a certificate was issued by CompleteTech.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for core website functions, security, analytics, advertising, preferences, and measurement. Cookies may be set by CompleteTech LLC or by third-party services used on the site.

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies so you do not have to fill in those details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit a login page, the site may set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, the site may set cookies to save login information and display preferences. Login cookies generally last for two days, screen option cookies may last for a year, and “Remember Me” login cookies may persist for two weeks. If you log out, login cookies are removed.

If you edit or publish content, an additional cookie may be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the item you edited. It expires after one day.

Analytics, advertising, and measurement

We use analytics, tag management, advertising, and measurement services to understand site performance, improve content and services, measure conversions, detect abuse, and support advertising features. These services may collect information such as pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location, browser and device information, IP-derived information, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and interaction events.

This site currently uses Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Site Kit, Cloudflare Google tag gateway, and Independent Analytics for measurement, tag management, site analytics, and site performance review. Google tags may be served directly by Google or through a first-party measurement path on complete.tech using Cloudflare’s Google tag gateway. Our Google AdSense account is connected, but this site does not currently load AdSense ad serving code or serve live ads.

Google may use information from sites and apps that use Google services to provide, maintain, protect, and improve its services, to measure advertising effectiveness, to protect against fraud and abuse, and to personalize content and ads depending on user settings and consent. Google Analytics is configured for measurement and may be configured to allow Google Analytics Advertising Features, including Google signals, demographics and interests reporting, remarketing, audience sharing, advertising reporting, ads personalization, and integrations with Google advertising products. These features allow Google Analytics to collect data through Google advertising cookies, first-party cookies, first-party identifiers, third-party cookies, and other identifiers in addition to a standard Google Analytics implementation. Live AdSense ad serving is currently disabled on this site.

When Google signals or related advertising features are enabled, Google Analytics may collect visitation information and associate it with information from signed-in Google users who have consented to that association for ads personalization. Depending on the user’s Google settings, this associated information may include location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites and apps that partner with Google. We use this information in aggregated or configured reporting and advertising features; we do not attempt to identify individuals from aggregate Google reports.

We do not currently send user-provided data to Google Analytics. If user-provided data collection or enhanced conversion features are enabled in the future, and a visitor submits first-party information such as an email address, phone number, name, or address, that information may be hashed using a one-way algorithm such as SHA-256 before being sent to Google Analytics or Google advertising products, but only where we have the necessary rights or consent. Google may match that hashed data with Google data to improve conversion measurement, audience measurement, customer match, and related reporting. We do not intentionally send sensitive personal information to Google Analytics for these purposes.

We do not currently send User-ID values to Google Analytics. If User-ID features are enabled in the future, we will use an internal identifier intended to distinguish signed-in or known users across sessions and devices. We will not intentionally use an email address, phone number, name, or other directly identifying information as the User-ID sent to Google Analytics.

If advertising is enabled on this site, Google AdSense, Google-certified ad technology providers, and other advertising vendors or ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. These vendors may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, IP-derived information, or other identifiers for ad selection, delivery, measurement, reporting, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention. Independent Analytics may collect privacy-focused site analytics data within this WordPress installation, such as page views, referrers, and link-click events, to help us understand how the site is used.

Google Sign-In and Google account features

The site may offer Sign in with Google or Google-powered account features, including features provided by Google Site Kit. If you use those features, Google may process authentication information according to Google’s policies, and the site may receive information needed to authenticate you or complete the requested interaction.

Your analytics and advertising choices

You can control or limit many analytics and advertising technologies through your browser settings, device settings, cookie settings, and Google account settings. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect site functionality.

Where legally required, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we are responsible for providing required disclosures and obtaining legally valid consent for cookies or local storage and for the collection, sharing, and use of personal data for ads personalization. Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, posts, maps, or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited the other website directly.

Media uploads

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data such as EXIF GPS data. Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with

We share information with service providers and platform providers as needed to operate, secure, measure, and improve the site. Sensitive information and children

Do not submit sensitive personal information through the website unless we specifically request it for a stated purpose. We do not knowingly use Google Analytics, advertising audiences, or user-provided data features to target sensitive categories. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata may be retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, if any, we store the personal information provided in the user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Analytics, advertising, security, and server-log data may be retained according to the settings and retention periods of the relevant service providers and our operational needs.

Certificate and class completion records may be retained for administrative, legal, security, fraud-prevention, verification, and operational purposes, including preserving a dated record of issued certificates and policy changes over time.
